Though the concept has proven viable in a number of European cities, the implementation in Vienna leaves much if not all to be desired.The pricing model is generous, with the 1st hour being free, but there ends the good news. The terminals are grimy and buggy. Despite registering a bank-/debit card online, a password is still required during checkout, which wouldn't be an issue were the on-screen keyboards not so unresponsive. Entering a single character is a challenge, an 8 to 10 character long password a Sisyphean task.Having lived in half a dozen Western European cities, and visited a few dozen more, I can safely say that Citybike Vienna complements the city nicely as one of the most cycling-unfriendly places I know,
