Europahaus - OÖ. HEIMBAUVEREIN

I lived there for almost 2.5 years. The location is really good with reachable public transportation at almost every time. It's surrounded by many parks and it's calm most of the times. The single rooms are small but simple and enough for 1 person. The price was about 300+ for a single room with a private bathroom but a shared kitchen. My room was cool in summer and warm in winter. The cleaning lady there was not the friendliest person ever but you get used to that and the kitchen can get broken for days or even weeks without any help. At one point there was a vacuum cleaner that disappeared for few months. Lights got broken in the kitchen and fixed next month. The biggest disadvantage here though was the distance to JKU university (about 40 minutes) which is really frustrating after a while but if you want a central location this is a good place to start.

One of the best dorms in Linz within this price range. I've been living here for 5 months now, absolutely satisfied with what is provided. The kitchen, laundry room and corridors are always pristine and the cleaning lady is very lovely and friendly. The management is incredibly cooperative and nice, helping you solve problems asap. For example, my light bulb burnt out, and a repair man got sent to my room the same day that the dorm manager got my email.The room I got is in very good condition, all the furniture looks good and very stylish in my opinion. The windows are large enough to let in good amounts of sunlight. The rooms are also soundproof - you cannot hear if someone is listening to music in the room next to you, providing a great place for studying in peace.The location is also very good - the dorm is located in a quiet family-friendly neighbourhood, so you can always get a good night's sleep. The train station is a 10 minute walk away, from where you can get a tram that goes directly to the Main square (10-15 mins by tram) or the JKU university (25 mins by tram). There is also a Spar on the train station that works every day until 11pm, so you don't have to worry about buying groceries on Sunday when everything else is closed.Other little details I appreciate include a vending machine and a hot drink machine at the entrances, the high-speed internet and the waste separation bins in the kitchen.

Habitación espaciosa, muy tranquilo, cerca de la estación del sur comunicando con toda la ciudad. Antiguo y pequeño edificio pegado a la residencia froshberge. Cocina equipada con microondas, horno, fregadero y armarios personales. Cerca de PHDL, universidad. Cerca de 3 Spar, billa, y una apotheke (farmacia)

Located in clean and beautiful town. Wifi is good. All equipments are good. Best place to live as I am home country.^^

Günstige Zimmer/Wohnung für Jung.

Kann das Heim wirklich sehr empfehlen! Hab mich ab dem ersten Tag rundum wohl gefühlt- das Zimmer ist gemütlich und bietet viel Stauraum in gut aufgeteilten Möbeln, Waschküche und Küche sind immer sauber und gut ausgestattet. Die Heimleitung als auch das Reinigungspersonal sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Lage verfügt über gute Infrastruktur (nahe am Linzer Hauptbahnhof) und nah gelegene Versorgungsbereiche wie Supermärkte, usw. Der Botanische Garten und die grüne Umgebung am Froschberg machen diese Gegend für mich zu einer der schönsten in Linz (direkt neben dem Heim befindet sich auch ein Park). Ebenso gut hat mir der geräumige Balkon mitBlick auf Linz gefallen. Die netten Bewohner_innen des Heims haben besonders zu meiner erinnerungswerten schönen Zeit im Europahaus beigetragen.

Gute Lage in der Nähe zum Bahnhof. Die Öffi-Anbindung ist durch mehrere Buslinien sichergestellt oder man läuft zum Bahnhof in 10 min. Das Haus an sich und ins besondere die Gemeinschaftsküchen sind (je nach Mieter) in einem miserablen Zustand. Da helfen auch die vielen Verwarnungen und Hinweise der Reinigungskräfte nichts mehr. Die Zimmer sind einfach eingerichtet und bieten genügend Stauraum für die persönlichen Dinge.
