Wow, what a via ferrata! We have done quite a few different ones but this one is definitely up there in terms of difficulty level. The approach to the ferrata is a short one and then the walk down not too bad either. I highly recommend it. We have taken a detour especially to try the two ferratas there and would definitely do it again. The best part is that both start at the same spot. That means, you can go up one, hike down and then go back to the starting point to do the second one, as challenging. And the view from the top of the rock, down the valley, is truly fantastic.As far as I can say, this is more of a climbing ferrata where one would really benefit from using climbing shoes. There is an abundance of footholds but most of them are rather small and the bigger the shoes, the more difficult it gets. I have used climbing shoes while the other person had hiking boots and there was quite a difference in how tired we each were at the end.
