Thrifty Autovermietung - Salzburg Airport

Leider ein sehr schlechter Service. Ich habe über Broker AurumCars gebucht, mit sämtlichen Versicherungen ohne jegliche Selbstbeteiligung. Bei der Abholung wurde versucht mir nochmal eine Versicherung aufzuschwatzen, da angeblich meine Kaution einbehalten würde wenn nur der kleinste Kratzer am Auto wäre und dass ich dann mit AurumCars verhandeln müsse um die Kaution wieder zu bekommen. Es ist dann auch niemand mit mir zu dem Mietwagen gekommen um schon eventuell vorhandene kleinste Kratzer zu dokumentieren. Ich solle mir den Wagen ansehen und Bescheid sagen, allerdings würde spätestens in 10 Minuten Feierabend gemacht, dann wäre niemand mehr da. Abends in einer dunklen Parkgarage ist es dann auch schwierig kleinste Kratzer zu entdecken…. Außerdem musste ich noch eine extra Pauschale für die Fahrt durchs „Ausland“ zahlen, weil ich mit dem Wagen von Salzburg ein Stück durch Deutschland um dann wieder nach Österreich zu fahren musste. Weihnachten habe ich über Avis gemietet, mit einem sehr viel besseren Auto, was im Endeffekt günstiger war. Leider nicht zu empfehlen!

THE WORST EXPERIENCE POSSIBLE – THE MORE YOU READ THE BETTER IT GETS ;)We rented an specific manual small car and when we arrived at the office they only had an automatic car or a much bigger car (7 seats). I have never driven either of both, so I didn’t feel comfortable with any. Starting with the nightmare, first of all, THEY DON’T TELL THEY CLOSE THE OFFICE AT 20:30, they don’t tell anything about the 30 EXTRA EUROS THEY CHARGE for picking up the car after the closing hour and IT IS NOWHERE AT THE WEBPAGE WHERE WE BOOKED IT WRITTEN THE TIME THEY CLOSE. If you decide you don’t allow that scam they just tell you to not take the car, when there is no possibility to receive your money back. Also, bear in mind that they take more than 1.000€ as a deposit from your credit card, whereas with Europe car I was taken as a deposit around 300€. We wanted to cross the border to Germany and the woman who was there told us the cost of crossing the border for one day was 7€ and suddenly she changed her mind and said it was 22€. All right, I called them the day after to ask for the cost of crossing the border, and the price now was 15€, wow!But the party doesn’t finish here! I got a fine for driving 10km/h faster than the allowed speed, so they sent me an invoice charging me 30€ for the administration costs, when the fine itself was of 15€. I transferred the money the way they ask you to do in the invoice, you can either authorise them to charge it in your credit card or to transfer it. I transferred it and I found out they had also charged it in my credit card without any authorisation! They give you then days to pay for it and the letter takes longer to reach, in this case, my home-country (within Europe).To finish with, as the fine and all the procedure to pay for it was written in German and I don’t speak it, I asked them a few questions to solve that situation as soon as possible and I only received super short and useless replies. Their service was such a pity!
